One of four singles released from Missing Persons’ 1982 “Spring Sessions M” album, “Words” spoke to teenage me about mass media overload in deceptively sugar-coated terms and I loved it. I believe our version of “Words” maintains the original intention of the song, as I understand it: a protest against media overload and its promulgation of false narratives.
